The "Breast Cancer Resource Pack" launched by Breast Cancer Care
An innovative new publication that offers vital information to people with primary breast cancer is launched nationwide today by the charity Breast Cancer Care following an overwhelmingly positive response from health professionals and patients.
The "Breast Cancer Resource Pack" is a unique publication which can be personalised and added to, making it an essential and relevant resource that patients can refer to from diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.
The benefits of comprehensive and clear information on breast cancer for patients with the disease are already well established.
Contained in a discreet and handy-sized folder, the Breast Cancer Resource Pack has sections on breast cancer, treatment options, best treatment guidelines, useful contact details and other sources of support. A selection of suggested questions patients might want to ask their healthcare team is also provided, encouraging a more collaborative approach to treatment decision-making.
The resource pack provides the space for patients, or their treatment teams, to write down useful information and store other resources such as details of local services. It adds to Breast Cancer Care's award-winning range of information to support anyone affected by breast cancer or breast health concerns.
Copies of the Breast Cancer Resource Pack can be ordered from Breast Cancer Care's website www.breastcancercare.org.uk or by calling its helpline on 0808 800 6000.
