Demoralised staff in the NHS find the Channcellor’s Autumn Statement an “insult” claims the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
Despite the £2billion injection of funding into the UK’s healthcare sector, pay for workers still remains constrained.
Peter Carter, Chief Executive or the RCN, said: “The UK’s nursing staff are working flat-out to keep the health service going under extraordinary pressure.
“They work long hours caring for the vulnerable, and have endured five years without cost of living increases.
