Nursing in Practice has today launched its fresh new awards programme designed to reward best practice, excellence and innovation in primary care.
The Nursing in Practice Awards 2008 will invite primary care nurses to present their innovative projects for judgement from a select panel of health experts.
Ten awards in total will offer individual nurses and teams the chance to gain recognition in everything from travel health to obesity management.
Awards will be offered in cardiac care, childhood immunisation, dermatology, diabetes, mental health including dual diagnosis, obesity, respiratory care, sexual health and travel health.
Applicants will be judged on their clarity of leadership, innovation, robust data collection and the sustainability of the challenges that have been developed.
The award winners will receive an educational grant worth £500, a certificate and a trophy at the Nursing in Practice Awards Event in Birmingham 19 November 2008.
