Starting hand hygiene early

Children across the UK are learning the right way to clean their hands properly with a new educational liquid soap that has launched in Tesco.

Squid Soap helps parents turn hand hygiene into a game. Through an ink pad built in the dispenser pump, a child is
literally "inked" as they depress the pump dispenser.

The ink won’t come off until they’ve washed their hands for at least 20 seconds, ensuring their hands are thoroughly clean.

The soap has been launched into 300 Tesco stores in the UK. It is already popular in the US. According to the American Centre for Disease Control, good hand hygiene could eliminate close to half of all cases of foodborne illnesses.
