12.15pm – 1pm: Free lunch, welcome & introduction
 
1.10pm: Session 1 – Setting the scene
  • An overview of the management of Type 2 diabetes
  • Looking at the challenges from the perspectives of patients and healthcare professionals in both primary and secondary care
  • Where and how can practice nurses be most effective?
2.00pm: Session 2 – The latest therapies & devices
  • Examining how therapies and devices used to administer treatments are evolving
  • Sharing some new developments which are already having a big impact on the lives of people with Type 2 diabetes
2.50pm: Refreshment break - free tea, coffee & networking
 
3.20pm: Session 3 – Practical session & case studies
  • Hands on session comprising of device demonstrations
  • Working in groups to analyse case studies
4.00pm: Group feedback & discussion 
  • Ask the expert and share your ideas
  • Assess learning outcomes and feedback of the day
4.30pm: Meeting ends
