Nursing in Practice has been editorially acclaimed, not only by the Royal College of Nursing, but also by the Royal College of General Practitioners, leading medical journals across the UK, and, most importantly, the majority of general practice nurses. The content of each issue aims to shape as well as reflect attitudes and approaches to practice in key areas of primary care nursing, such as tackling long-term conditions, achieving the maximum number of QOF points, clinical governance and nurse prescribing. Each issue contains:

  • Core clinical reviews - the bulk of each issue comprises a series of topical and accessible expert reviews summarising the latest thinking and developments in clinical practice in therapeutic areas related to primary care nursing. These articles reflect the rapidly expanding role of nurses and the importance of communication and cooperation among all members of the primary healthcare team.
  • Expert comment – political update and analysis from key individuals in healthcare, plus indepth interviews with the leaders and innovators in primary care nursing.
  • Further information – all clinical articles include details of a host of further information sources, such as useful contacts, related websites and links, relevant training courses, recommended literature and other resources.
