Nursing staff unhappiest in UK

Nurses are among the unhappiest workers in the UK concerning pay claims a survey from jobs search engine Adzuna.

Healthcare and nursing staff are the third unhappiest professional group, with 51% of those surveyed believing their pay to be too low.

A poll of 1000 workers across the UK showed that 63% of retail staff and 59% of hospitality staff were dissatisfied with their rate of pay.  The happiest professions included consultancy workers and HR professionals.

Published today, the news comes only two days before the next nursing strikes were due to take place.  They have now been suspended as a potential pay deal has been reached between health unions and NHS England.
