RCN President elected for second term

RCN President Andrea Spyropoulos has been elected unopposed for a second term in office.

Along with Cecilia Anim, who has been re-elected Deputy President, Spyropoulos will now serve in her post at the organisation until December 2014.

The two candidates stood unopposed for their respective positions, and attracted votes during the voting period in May and June.

Spyropoulos is a registered nurse, midwife and senior lecturer. She has spent 30 years in the nursing service spanning a vast range of surgical and medical services and academic leadership.

“I'm thrilled to be re-elected as your President, and grateful for the fantastic support of the membership, " she said.

"I am looking forward to the next two years and to continuing to meet as many of you as possible.”

Spyropoulos will be delivering a keynote address at the Nursing in Practice London event on the 18th September. Click here to register for the free conference.
