HEE launches online coronavirus programme for health and care staff

HEE has developed a free online coronavirus programme for health and care staff.

The course, launched last week, contains information around the prevention and treatment of the coronavirus pandemic.

Modules in the programme include: essential guidance from the NHS and the Government, infection prevention and control, personal protective equipment, and critical care resources.

HEE said it will add to the coronavirus programme in the coming days and weeks.

As of Sunday, there were 5,683 coronavirus cases in the UK and 281 people have died.

Last week, the Nursing and Midwifery Council announced that former nurses and midwives who left the register in the last three years can rejoin.

Student nurses and midwives will also be invited to complete the last six months of their programme as a paid clinical placement to help tackle the outbreak.
