Nurses working across primary care are being invited to attend a free virtual event on Thursday 4 June focused on respiratory care and women’s health, with sessions aimed at supporting day to day clinical practice.

Hosted by Nursing in Practice, the online event will bring primary care nurses together for a day of expert-led learning across two key areas, with practical updates and advice that can be used back in practice.

Topics announced so far include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in primary care, vulval skin conditions, and cervical screening, with more sessions and speaker announcements still to come.

The event is for nurses who want to keep up to date on important clinical topics, but need learning opportunities that can fit around a busy workload. As it is virtual, attendees can join from home or work without needing to travel.

Those attending will be able to:

  • hear from expert speakers on topics relevant to everyday nursing practice
  • get practical clinical updates across respiratory care and women’s health
  • access flexible learning that works around the day
  • claim 5.3 CPD hours to support appraisal and revalidation

With pressure across primary care still high, finding time for professional development is not always easy. This event is designed to make that a bit more accessible, while still giving nurses useful learning they can take away.

Nursing in Practice Virtual: Respiratory and Women’s Health is free to attend and offers a flexible way for nurses to refresh their knowledge, hear from experts and stay up to date on key areas of care.
