Nursing in Practice is conducting a short survey to learn more about the experience of social care professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Care homes have been disproportionately affected by the coronavirus crisis with official figures in May showing social care staff in England and Wales had twice the mortality of the general population.
Social care nursing has also seen that staff shortages could worsen because of a lack of adequate personal protective equipment available to them.
Now social care nurses and other staff can air their views about testing, personal protective equipment and how they feel in their current roles.
Nursing in Practice editor Emily Twinch said: ‘Our stories over the past few months have shown the great strain care home staff have been under during the Covid-19 pandemic.
‘Through our survey we aim to get a better picture of the pressure care home staff have been under, their working conditions currently and how they feel about the future’.
