First Nursing in Practice live event of 2023 kicks off today

Primary care and community nurses from across the country will gather today at Nursing in Practice London – our first live continuing professional development (CPD) event of the year.

Our free-to-attend conference, held in the UK capital, will see a fantastic line-up of expert speakers share their knowledge and experiences across a range of key topics and subjects.

Nursing in Practice has over 17 years’ precedence in providing high-quality CPD to nursing staff, and at our event today attendees will have the opportunity to hear the latest best practice and clinical advice to ensure their skills are up to date.

Hosted at the Novotel London West hotel, a multi-stream agenda will see presentations and sessions on: dementia, wound care, travel vaccination, menopause, learning disabilities, contraception and gender transitions.

Key speakers include clinical nurse specialists, nursing directors and academics, while the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s nursing education advisor Julie Dixon, and founder and chair of the charity Olly’s Future, Ann Feloy, will also be presenting.

Those chairing the conference include Nursing in Practice advisory board members Marilyn Eveleigh, a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor, and Helen Lewis, an advanced nurse practitioner and independent prescriber.

Unite the unions lead professional officer for mental health, Dave Munday, will also be chairing throughout the day.
