Nurses affected by floods could get emergency funding

Any community nurse whose home or car has been affected by the recent flooding in Cumbria can receive emergency funding from The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI).

The community nursing charity will make a discretionary payment of £500 to any affected nurse who works in the community.

This includes general practice nurses, district nurses, school nurses, health visitors, and others who work outside hospital.

To receive a grant from the QNI, applicants need to get their manager’s endorsement to prove that they are currently working as a nurse and are effected by the flood.

Nurses affected should call the QNI on 020 7549 1405 or email [email protected] for more information about how to access the funds.
