The Nursing in Practice Diabetes Resource Centre brings you the latest news and clinical developments in diabetes to help you diagnose and treat patients, and support them in self-managing their condition.

With the diabetes population currently at around 2.5 million in the UK, frontline healthcare professionals face increasing pressure to deliver and develop programmes to deal with a condition that has the potential to overwhelm the health service. The complications of diabetes, which include cardiovascular disease, kidney failure and stroke, can be serious and costly, and much of the expenditure on diabetes relates to the management of complications.
