Last year’s Nurse of the Year award went to Dr Jennifer Loke, nurse consultant at Park View Surgery, who was recognised for transforming the practice in the East Riding of Yorkshire from one facing significant challenges into a thriving service. Her work in service delivery and commitment to health equity helped reshape how the practice operates.
While Nursing in Practice readers may be especially interested in the nursing categories, the awards are open across the full breadth of primary care. That means readers can also nominate colleagues and teams working in general practice, reception, practice management, pharmacy, PCNs, workforce wellbeing, sustainability and clinical improvement, as well as supplier organisations supporting the sector.

The awards offer a chance to reflect on the past 12 months and recognise the individuals, teams and initiatives that have made a measurable difference to patients, staff and the wider community. More information and entry details are available on the General Practice Awards website.
The deadline for entries is 31 May 2026.
